New Design

I’ve updated the design of the blog. I couldn’t make the old one work how I want to.

So, watch this one change to be beautiful over the next few weeks.

And, look up top. I’ve created an About Me page. I thought it could be important.

College

Five years ago – after I graduated high school – I had plans about college. I had just completed my EMT, and wanted to be a paramedic. Because I did poorly in high school, (I was bored and rarely attended) I had to get 14 non-degree seeking credits before my local state university – Boise State University – would allow me to be a student.

So, I started taking a class. Just one. Medical Terminology. And it cost just over $200 a credit. It was fun when I went. It was right about this time that I found that I had some social anxiety, and quickly started studying from home. I passed the class with a C, only going to three or so classes.

I didn’t attempt another class there. It was too expensive, and I just couldn’t make myself go. So I started working in the most annoying places off all. Call Centers. I made my rounds across the multiple offerings in Idaho for about a year, and decided to go back to school.

This time, I was jumping in head first. I was moving to another state, living in the dorm, and going to class full time.

It didn’t work out either.

When I got back home, after deciding that I could do it halfway through my second semester, life got stagnant. I was a 20 year old without a job. It sucked.

So I joined the call centers back up. After a couple of tries (I was a temp employee), I found a place that was fun, and hired me to be a permanent employee. I ended up being an HR rep for about 17 companies. It was cool.

I worked there for about a year, and got bored. So I found another job. A classified one. ;) Well… not really. It’s just that due to many laws surrounding the privacy of patients, I can’t tell you about it.

But I’ve been there every since. And it’s been great. But I’m ready to have a degree in something. I’m going to major in Biology with a minor in psychology.  I definately want to go in the medical field, so wether that means nursing, or completing a pre-med program, I’m good either way.

I’ve applied, and I’m in the process of getting everything together so I can start in January. And, for the first time in a long while, I’ve very excited.

Shiny New Wordpress, and Miscelania

WordPress has updated to 2.7 beta2. Not only is it shiny and happy, it’s fun! :)
Favorite feature: reply-to comments. So now you can see the actual conversation compared to a list of comments.

Also, I do plan on writing something about the election – in fact, a lot. I just haven’t had a moment to sit down yet.

It’s bedtime. <3

Sleepy Head

I’m really tired, and don’t know what to write.

But I need to. Part of a goal I made to write once a day. Psh. I already screwed that up, but I’ll keep trying.

I found my Nalgene – the one I left at work on Monday. It took some hunting. I had to ask at least 3 people. Now I need to wash it. Who knows what kind of crazy person spit in it while I was away.

I need to clean my carpets. My landlord wants to do an inspection and I want to impress her. Clean carpets should do that.

I hate both MySpace and FaceBook, but FaceBook’s the bigger devil. So you can chat with me here. If you really want to, you can add me on FaceBook too, but… eew :)

It’s about time that I watch Miss Congeniality again. It’s in my list of chick-flicks that I like. I probably should keep this list secret, but who cares!? Legally Blonde, Sweet Home Alabama – pretty much anything with Reese Witherspoon. Only the first Miss Congeniality, because the second one is dumb. Mona Lisa Smile – because Julia Roberts is amazing. There’s probably more but I can’t think of them.

And I’m done. I can’t think anymore today. But, fear not, there is always tomorrow.
